1. HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURE OF THE CHURCH
You will have an overview of the organization of the Catholic Church that will allow you to understand how it operates in civil-legal matters through its various entities and organizations.

We will deepen the understanding of the diocese, as the basic territorial structure of organization, and the parish, as the basic organizational unit of the diocese, all with particular reference to the most relevant entities in civil-legal matters.
2. TAXATION
You will be able to determine the tax obligations arising from the activities carried out by the Catholic Church, both in the field of its own functions and in the possible development of economic activities. You will also be able to assess the fiscal consequences of carrying out certain operations and economic activities that are common in the business or professional field.
You will be able to effectively advise, based on current legislation, on the correct taxation of the Catholic Church and its institutions.
3. ASSETS
You will be able to differentiate the distinct regulations for legal entities that can be created by the Catholic Church and non-Catholic religious confessions, with a particular focus on their constitution, legal capacity and ability to act, and representation.
You will have a clear understanding of the requirements and ways in which religious confessions in Spain can operate in civil-legal matters.
4. SOCIAL DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH
You will understand what a personalist view of Economics entails.
You will handle the main concepts of Catholic Social Doctrine (DSI) and their application in the business field with ease.
You will be able to distinguish between Catholic Social Doctrine (DSI), Social Economy (FSE), and Corporate Social Responsibility (RSC).
You will know how to differentiate between socially responsible investments and ethical finance, and learn how to conduct an ethical evaluation.
You will become familiar with a relevant text of Catholic Social Doctrine (Evangelii Gaudium) and learn how to read, study, and analyze it.
5. DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION AND THE THIRD SECTOR
You will be able to use current regulations to regulate social organizations in Spain. Volunteering is the driving force of the entire third sector and represents its values. You will learn what the law defines as volunteering and what is not considered volunteering.
You will learn about the initiatives of the United Nations that guide companies toward a greater commitment to society as a whole. You will explore the challenges addressed by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
You will have an initial introduction to the tool oriented toward objectives, known as the Logical Framework Approach, used for the identification, design, planning, management, and evaluation of development projects. This will enable you to make a proper formulation of projects.

When do I know whether or not I am admitted to a master’s program?

Once all documents have been validated and the admission interview has been conducted, if applicable, you will receive an email notification from the admissions committee with the resolution of your application within 24/48 hours.

What is the deadline to reserve a place?

Once the decision of the admissions committee is known, if it is favorable, you will have a period of 15 days to pay the reservation fee **.

*If you do not make the reservation within the stipulated period, your place will be made available to another candidate.
**The 15-day deadline may be reduced if the application for admission is made within the last three weeks prior to the start of classes of the Postgraduate Program, or if there is a reduced number of vacancies to fill the group.

How can I pay the reservation fee?

Once admission has been notified, you will be able to reserve your place from the candidate’s portal through a secure payment gateway.
