Work in the management and mediation of conflicts in family, educational, civil, criminal, and penitentiary contexts, complying with current regulations.

Upon completion, you will be able to register with the Ministry of Justice’s Mediator Registry to work as a professional mediator.

What it prepares you for

You will acquire the necessary training to work as a mediator in family, educational, civil, criminal, and penitentiary areas. Additionally, this will enable you to register in the Mediator Registry of the Ministry of Justice, which regulates the registration.

There are two modules (20 hours each) that you can enroll in separately. This way, you can obtain the continuous training accreditation in mediation required by law.

Once both modules are completed, students who have only enrolled in these will be able to receive the continuing education certificate from the Francisco de Vitoria University:

  • Mediation Course in the Educational Field
  • Mediation Course in the Criminal and Penitentiary Fields

Fill in the form to receive your request. When we receive your data we will proceed to register you in the Candidate Portal and you will have access to your personal area where you will have to attach the documents corresponding to your process.

Once the admissions committee has evaluated your application, we will send you the resolution by e-mail. In case of a positive resolution, you will have 15 calendar days to reserve your place through the Candidate Portal (see table of fees).

Once the self-enrollment period is open, you will receive instructions from the Master’s Coordination to do it in the University Portal. To do so, you must have provided all the necessary documentation for your admission.

How can I start the admission process?

You must complete the admission form or you can send us an email to postgrado@ufv.es so that we can register you in the Candidate Portal and you can upload the requested admission and registration documents.

What are the steps for the admission process?

  1. Request registration in the candidate’s portal through postgrado@ufv.es.
  2. Upload the required documentation.
  3. Conduct the intake interview*.
  4. To reserve a place in case of admission
  5. Submit the certified copies of the degree and/or grades that correspond in each case.

*The admission interview is only required for certain master’s degrees.

What documentation do I have to upload to the applicant portal?

General Documentation:

  • Completed and electronically signed Admission Application Form.
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae.
  • Motivation letter.
  • 2 letters of recommendation*.
  • Photocopy of the front and back of your ID card or passport
  • A recent, passport-size, color photograph
  • University degree that qualifies access to the master’s degree

*Letters of recommendation are required for certain programs.

University Master’s Degrees

If you have studied in Spain:

  • Certified copy of both sides of the university degree (in case the degree has not been issued, you must submit the Supplementary Certification to the Degree).
  • Certified copy of your transcript (academic record) if you are applying to any of the following master’s degree programs:
    • Master’s Degree in Advanced Therapies in Biomedicine
    • Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology

If you are a graduate of a foreign university within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA):

  • Certified copy on all sides of the university degree together with its sworn translation in case it is in a language other than Spanish.
  • Certified copy of the transcript of grades (academic record) together with its sworn translation in case it is in a language other than Spanish.

If you are a graduate from an educational system outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)

When do I know whether or not I am admitted to a master’s program?

Once all documents have been validated and the admission interview has been conducted, if applicable, you will receive an email notification from the admissions committee with the resolution of your application within 48/72 hours.

This period may be extended in periods of high demand.

What is the deadline to reserve a place?

Once you have received the decision of the admissions committee, if it is favorable, you will have a period of 15 days to pay the reservation fee.

*If you do not make the reservation within the stipulated period, your place will be made available to another candidate.
**The period of 15 days may be reduced if the application for admission is within the last three weeks prior to the start of classes of the Postgraduate Program, or if there is a reduced number of vacancies to fill the group.

How can I pay the reservation fee?

Once admission has been notified, you will be able to reserve your place from the candidate’s portal through a secure payment gateway.

I have already reserved my place. How can I register?

The academic coordination team will contact you by email a few days before the start of the master’s program with a guide that includes all the steps to follow so that you can self-enroll.

*In order to be able to perform the self-registration you will have to have provided all the documentation.
