What it prepares you for
You will become familiar with all the processes involved in the development of the profession:
- You will design protocols and conduct assessments of individual, family, and group needs. You will carry out evaluations, diagnoses, programs, and treatments, all from the perspective of a transdisciplinary, person-centered psychology model.
- You will learn the key aspects of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach.
- You will master the most advanced theories and the most innovative procedures in the field of human health.
- You will have access to advanced training in research techniques to develop, present, and defend your thesis through a Doctoral program.
This master’s degree qualifies the student as a General Health Psychologist. It allows work in the private sector and the general healthcare field, excluding the National Health Service.

In this case, it will be necessary to have 90 ECTS specifically in healthcare, as well as an average grade of 6.5 or higher to begin the admission process.

The Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology was implemented in the 2016/17 academic year, the first year, and in the 2017/18 academic year, the second year, according to RD 1393/2007.
